Racist shit is racist, even when it's okay to be a racist. If you were doing racist shit in the 80's..it's because you were being racist, but that's probably no indication that everyone was doing racist shit in the 80's.
dressing up like michael jackson was not racist. I remember they sold a jerry curl wig jacket glove and face paint as all part of a kit.
Michael was black back then and little kids (white kids) wanted to emulate him as well as they could and they knew he was not their color. even now if you go onto ebay you can find the wig jacket and glove.
Ted danson got slamed by a few for doing the same thin in the 90s at the time was dating whoppi goldberg and she had absolutly no problem with it then. which shows even as late as the 90's at best people had mixed feelings about it.. the further back you go the less racist the gesture is and more emulative the gesture becomes. meaning it was no different than a man like robin williams putting on a dress and pretending to be mrs doubtfire. there is no woman hating in doing that it was just a gag then like how a man forced into a gender role gets into shenagans (the bus driver checking out robin williams super harry legs as doubfire and digs them) same thing with black face then.. was just a gag there was even a movie where the white kid took too many self tanning pills.. in the end he learn how hard it realy was to be black
Again I'm not a "dim" and if a rep can replace one that great, but this man loosing his job oversomething that was not only socially acceptible it was apart of the culture is dumb f*ckery on your part.
no one is free of immorality who lived in the 80 that lives now.
