More than just climate scientists and data would have to be wrong. Basic chemistry and physics would have to be wrong.
In any case, the mindset of deniers was produced by the fall of communism. Right wing propaganda organs lost their cash cow and then turned to scaring the shit out of people with with a green scare to replace the red one. The only group of deniers I find to be even remotely credible or understandable outside of the context of the doubt merchant mill are impact deniers.
