I think you would find yourself helpless and without hope in a situation where you lead your own life without letting others tell you what to do.
I only recognize and support the authority that suits the ideals that I think are best for my people. And that authority will work for the best interests of my people alone, and not like the government that works for the best interests of others, while taking a dump on what I hold dear to me.

There is a saying in Turkish "If you love, you'll get fucked, and if you fuck, you'll be loved" like it sounds weird in english, but it's very meaningful and all..
I think that democracy is a way for the people to vote, just to get their selfish wishes fulfilled by the party they vote for, if it get's elected, of course, doesn't matter if it provides good governance or not.
The multi-party system just kills everything. It is the bane of every man that votes, because unless there is a coalition, someone get's left out anyways, with no way of real representation besides MP's(good for nothing).
It's much better for most people to not vote and have the fulfillment of their most extravagant selfish wishes of a very small kleptocratic elite institutionalized.
