You think god couldn't get his body into a locked room, or appear and disappear at will? That he'd have to be a ghost?
I think it's funny that these bumpkins were so convinced by low rent parlor tricks that they spun off an entire religion - almost as funny as you believing in it now.
Here's the rub, the entire appeal of the faith was bodily resurrection. The resurrection of christ is what the narrative takes to be proof of that possibility - and even posits that if christ did not come back, bodily, then no one can and the faith is pointless and everyone is "still in their sins".
No one, no one, who came up with this tripe was looking forward to going to "heaven" as a spirit and living there. They expected that they would return from the grave, on earth, and soon. They had previously believed that jesus would rule on earth himself (if they were jews, lol). The reason that jesus and resurrection have morphed into your mind into something else..was that this just didn't end up happening, so christianity as a movement had to rehabilitate their prophetic failure and the disappointment of expectations.
-and all of this, ofc, assuming that there were ever a man, and that magic book can be trusted. If magic book can be trusted, jesus could not have been a god, and was a man..a man who wrote checks that no one could cash.
