Unfortunately I think you are right and main stream media will be ignored.
Its why civilisation peaked in 2015 and is now on a downward spiral because the "mainstream" is the only media that can be trusted in any way. The rest is all unregulated self interest groups and Russian bots all with an agenda that unfortunately is believed more and more.
So although I think you are right that main stream media will die I think you are wrong that its a good thing.
in your world you can not fathom a media institution that has been corrupted, one sided or blatantly lies about the news? what about in russia, could the news be corrupt in russia? then why not here? why can the news be purchased here and used to propagate certain agendas?
For instance how many times did all the major news channels report trump would loose in a landslide? Now before you fire up your spin/excuse machine, know that even pro trump news sources said it was too close call.. So why would all the major new source polls their experts and everything else they could bring to bear try and manipulate the facts? A land slide if far from too close to call let alone being completely wrong and the opposite happening...
Then what about the economy? Best this country has ever known with the unemployment numbers at a record breaking low and you only hear how obama's policies are just now being see in trumps administration. Also when was ISIS disbann? where are we in relation to north korea? what is the latest offer by them? when was the last terrorist attack, when was the last BLM demonstration/why did they stop?
Are none of these items news worth? you have to do an in depth google search to answer some of these questions.
but all major news outlets want to see is the full muller report... Why? because to scrape up something that says they have not been lying about trumps collusion for the last two years!!!
So again what about that? could they just be wrong/mistaken? or have they been systematically burring the findings as they have been presented or spun to try and sell trumps guilt before the AG could post his findings?
There is a reason the fake news label sticks. It is because these liars have been caught so many times in the past of just fabercating news, they can no longer plausible excuse it. real people are not buying into the indoctrination any more. real people are not stupid and call see the man behind the curtain pulling the levers. we are no longer buying into the great and powerful news man any more.
