These where all instances when people came to Jesus Himself and asked to personally be a disciple, or he is giving instruction a to whom to look for in a disciple... Meaning what it would take to be one of the 12 or one of the many outside the inner twelve. not a simple follower or worshiper of Christ.

And in that case he is right, and it goes along with what I said. Got to love God first and formost. then your neighbor as yourself. Can't put the love of your parents first. What happens is if you learn to love God first you ablity of love will so increase that even in second place after God you will be able to love you parents that much more than if you where to love them with all that you are now.

This book subjected kings, meaning kings had to oppose the followers of this book or become one. so it doesnot follow that this book would be a tool looking to be used as a point of subjegation.

Hell of the bible was created for satan as a tomb of everlasting punishment. for us it is our end/final grave or destruction. Those who teach hell as a motivator do so as a matter of tradition and not through scripture as Jesus taught.
God spent most of the time pushing heaven as an opportunity to serve as a King of your own personal kingdom.

I don't want to live in a Kingdom. Kings are the products of antiquity. In the west we do not live under Kings. And the few Royal families that still exist in the west are merely living museum pieces that if tried to act like they did in antiquity would be thrown in prison or executed by any sane western society. Stalin and Hitler were kings, "dictator" is simply another word for authoritarian rule. I also don't want to live under the Saudi Royal Family or Un.
Nor do I want to be a king. I do not value being a sole ruler, nor do I want to live under sole ruler. That is just nonsense to think being ruled or ruling with a one way street, is the key to a free society.
