OLB was talking about people who have come into the country, been through the steps to apply for asylum, had their hearing, and been denied asylum. That's a whole other thing than the people who are being detained without having the due process of going through the system to be granted or denied asylum.
OLB asked if we are going to look the other way when the legal steps have been followed and those denied asylum are allowed to stay anyway. If being denied asylum means you get to stay anyway...why bother going through the motions.
Why are we spending millions (or billions) on going through the paces if the results mean nothing?
