The same horrible sell of fear of migrants was done in American history to the Chinese migrants who built our railway system. The same horrible sell of fear was once aimed at the Irish(Look up Hell's Kitchen) in NYC. And the worst example, was innocent Japanese/Americans having their property confiscated and shipped off to internment camps during WW2.
If he wants people to show up to the process in the courts, he doesn't help them by scaring the shit out of them.
1. Fund proper processing centers so they are not cramped and unsanitary.
2. Hire more judges so people are not waiting forever in unsanitary and cramp conditions.
3. Hire more agents at the centers and at the border.
4. Have better foreign policy with the places they are fleeing so they become stable.
5. Get those non violent people, already here ,out of the shadows and give them a path to citizenship.
BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY tell the orange bully to stop vilifying entire groups of fellow human beings.
