Kichigai: Infantile and contradictory? In what ways, where?
I find that story to be very touching still. I'm not gullable, I'm trusting, there's a difference. Someone who is gullable doesn't think that they are being deceived and runs into everything with naiviatee, while someone who is trusting, believes what they are being told even though the information has the ability to be false. A trusting person chooses to be optimistic about the character of the speaker, a gullable person believe anything, without reason or concern for character.
It's wonderful to know that others are watching and they will decide what they decide on their own. This man came to the conclusion that people were bullying that pastor and of course, someone participating in bullying would never agree that it's bullying. But someone who is being bullied knows right away and either stands are fades away because of it. Whenever I'm bullied, even when I'm being foolish, I stand. There are times when I don't respond to certain posts, just think of those times...as me having nothing positive to say, therefore I say nothing.
Kichigai, Why would you need any nurturing during your development? You're an atheist, right? Wasn't everyone really welcoming?
Thank you Fr0d0. I appreciate you.
