Because if Mr Smith was hard up enough.that he sold his airbag for gas money - the lawyer is gonna look for somebody with.more - Takata - for not making removing the airbag impossible.... Or something..
Well, yeah, you can sue anyone for anything, but in this scenario, I don't fancy Mr. Smith's chances.
