Yep, to me its murder, cops aren't immune to that, or are they? I told the story about that portuguese cop that after a van drived by a burglar ran over his partner, tried to shot the tires of the van and hit the back where the burglar son was. He got charged with 2nd degree murder (IMO, it would be the dad to be charged with child endangerment). The community helped the cop to pay for the defense.
