Thing that did it for me was that Chantix had as high a success rate (ie: people STOPPED smoking long term) as no drugs at all only will power. Which equated to something like a 6% success rate.
At those odds Zen put his paw down and said to throw the script out. Bizarrely the drug retails for AUD$300 and is available at AUD$30 on the PBS system here in Oz. So the govt foots the bill to the tune of AUD$270 per script per month for a 12-18 month course
