I am indifferent to Hitler.
I despise his ideology and the suffering he caused, but have zero feelings about him personally.
Now if I had known him and therefore had hopes or expectations of him -- even to the degree that he was the leader of my country -- then it would be a somewhat different story.
I suppose that I do have one thing in common with Hitler -- we are both humans, and so one has certain expectations of a fellow human which, if disappointed, give rise to a certain species of hatred, maybe. However, I've known plenty of toxic, criminal, lazy, dishonest, unreliable or cruel people, and I've kind of priced that into my interactions with all humans. Hitler and his ilk should come as no surprise to any sufficiently informed and observant person.
