I have no doubt that the majority of the SNL writers had no musical skills to do all the music video parodies they have over the years.

You can write parody lyrics without being musically inclined.

I will NEVER pretend to be able to do what Weird Al has. But I have taken lots of shots of re writing lyrics of songs for fun.
