'Call The Midwife' sounds interesting and I can get it for an okay price on Amazon Prime...tell me more so I can decide. When I do get interested in a show I tend to binge watch.

If you had Netflix, you'd be laughing. It's based on the memoirs of a nurse/midwife who worked in the Poplar neighbourhood of the East End on London in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
It centres around a convent called Nonnatus House - some of the midwives are nuns, some aren't. They frequently deliver babies in conditions of appalling poverty, and the show deals with such topics as back alley abortionists, the introduction of birthcontrol pills, unmarried mothers, the Cuban missile crisis, the thalidomide nightmare, and so on.
