Actually christians didn't translate from Hebrew, they translated from a bad Greek translation of the Hebrew successor to the original Aramaic.
Some used the Septuagint. Some used the originals.
Only a tiny fraction of the OT was in Aramaic. What is this "original Aramaic" you mention?
St. Jerome began by using the Septuagint, but by 390 was translating from the original Hebrew.
