Who said I think all cops are corrupt? The majority are decent people. But it's fairly well known that many cops, along with their support mechanisms, will close ranks to protect one another, especially in these days of Trumpy and his minions.
An independent lab would, hopefully, be seen as having no agenda in this instance, at least by the reasonable protesters.
As for the rioters and looters: break some heads.
