Oh look, another one flogging emotional reasons™. I never got this one, particularly from christians, whose religion is based on the hope of a happy life in the hereafter. What do they want to say, really..? Hope bad, reason good? Brilliant plan, run with that for a few more years and take a headcount of who still believes in a shaman's promise of eternity.
It's unlikely that a person is an atheist - or a theist, for emotional reasons™..but it's very likely that people are religious or irreligious for emotional reasons, and why not?
If you find a religion disgusting, as I find your religion, OP...then why would any person in their right mind join it? I assume that you're one of those red blooded males that doesn't particularly enjoy the taste of dick. Had one in your mouth recently? Do you think it's strange that you haven't had one your mouth recently? Would you castigate another for refusing to put a man's penis in his mouth for emotional reasons™? This is how I see your religion, and your god. This is why it wouldn't matter if your god were real.
I still don't want to put your dick in my mouth. I'm sure you can understand that. No matter how many times you swear that you really do have a dick, a big one......I still don't want to put it in my mouth. You might want to give this some thought the next time you try to cram it down a strangers throat.
