I guess we don't need courts when we have the all-knowing herd of popular opinion....

Court exist to pass sentences. But the idea that they are the only ones capable of determining guilt  is absurd

But they are the only ones capable of doling out criminal justice. If, say, Chauvin was accused of killing his wife’s paramour and throwing the body in a wood chipper, and there weren’t multiple eyewitnesses who saw it (not to mention multiple videos of the incident), you might have a point about the court of public opinion. But we do have witnesses and multiple videos of the incident and the minutes prior and it paints a very clear picture of his guilt.

And, just for reference, here’s a video from Shaun deconstructing the case of Trayvon Martin (with a specific focus on George Zimmerman’s known actions) and, in the end, contrasting that with the killing of LaVoy Finicum, and it all seems very relevant to Biker’s posturing.
