If nobody got hurt, by your logic aiming a firearm at a police officer is also not a crime. Pretty sure you don't buy that.
It’s neither selection bias nor a sample error of any kind. We’re all talking about ONE specific incident. You went off the rails with your comment about trespassing not warranting the death penalty (and I agree that it doesn’t). But it was stupid to bring that up because no one died in THIS incident.
You can’t possibly know the McCloskey’s thought processes and mentality.
Aiming a firearm at someone is not always a crime (for example, if you’re in fear of your life). You can’t know that this wasn’t the case here.
I think cops need firearms aimed at them more often. Shows what YOU know.
