It isn't a matter of intent. I fully accept there are plenty of folks whom own firearms who will not commit crimes. I am only addressing the conditions that have put America at the top of the list of first world western nations that have far more firearm violence than we should have.
I'd trust Gawdzilla with a firearm. I'd also trust my best friend from Oklahoma with a firearm. I am not talking about intent, but math and ratio and ease of access. Plenty of firearm owners agree, that their is a problem. The argument is how to fix it. I don't see the pace of manufacturing as helping. I don't see "walk in, same day, buying" as helping.
The problem with the NRA is their attitude is sell more and do nothing.
As I said earlier, I'm a results guy. The results show, as to gun violence, what we have done up to now is not working. We need to be open to possible solutions even if they lie outside our pet ideology or 2nd Amendment idolatry.
