Why is that "except"? God of Christianity died as a mere mortal, so is he also a God of no consequence? Especially since Matthew 24:35 says, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." You know, Heaven where God of Christianity lives, so he will also perish and is finite.
Except he returned to life unlike a mere mortal.
Also, just because someone dies, that does not make them finite.
