I claim that all human beings are all pretty capable of being good or bad - REGARDLESS of any group affiliation.

A claim that's countered by the simple fact not all group are equal in badness and their are group that contain vastly more bad people then another . Not mention some groups are evil  by ideologically faint and their followers can only be regarded as bad by willful association with said group 

Why does that strike you as an outrageous claim that needs proof?

Because it's a fact not all groups are equally bad and it's a fact some groups have vastly more horrible people in them then others .Not mention some groups are evil ideologically faint and their followers can only be regarded as bad by willful association with said group 

To me becoming a better person by tacking an ( R ) or ( D ) after your name seems a pretty outrageous claim

No it's not if the R or the D is associated with a group that holds evil idea's or has overwhelming number of bad people in it's ranks  . Then how could one be regarded as good by willingly associating and espousing the ideals of that group ?

 - as does the idea that all the good or bad people gravitate towards on party or the other.

Nope if a party overwhelmingly comprised of bad people and holds to bad ideals .Then that party can be regarded as bad and vice versa .
