Not a bit of it. If you have an animus against cops, you’re having a problem with an entire group of people based solely on their occupation. ‘All cops are corrupt’ is an indictment of the occupation, since it applies equally to white cops, black cops, Asian cops, Algerian cops, Buddhist cops, vegan cops, and so on. The bigotry is directed not at the people, but at what they do for a living.

Nope, you're attacking the position, not the person. You're attacking the job not the person doing it. All cops are evil is an indictment of the organization not the people in it. So no I'm not attacking white cops, black cops, Asian cops, Algerian cops, Buddhist cops, vegan cops, I'm attacking the position wholly apart from those attributes.

I’m confused. Earlier, you said one can’t be bigoted against an occupation. Now, you say you’re attacking the position. Are you differentiating between ‘occupation’ and ‘position’?

Whether you are or not, I fail to see how it helps your argument. With very rare exceptions (dog units, police robots), cops are human beings. I’m not aware of a Platonic ideal of ‘police officer’. How can you attack the position of ‘cop’ without being prejudicial to the people performing those duties?
