I attended Catholic schools from age 5 to 17. Left not having completed high school.
Went to work full time,finished high school at night.
Conscripted at age 20.
On return from the army,back to work.Completed a diploma in human resource management, at night, over 4 years.
Took a year off studies,
Was accepted at university as a 'mature age student' (age29). As planned,completed my degree,part time over 9 years. Straight A's.
The first member of my father's family to attend university,I've never quite gotten over the notion that a university education is a privilege.*
*in my state, approximately 3% of the population has attended university. In my suburb it's 2%
