Of course, the antivaxxers are the sort of people who thought getting a vaccine (or two, depending on the type of vaccine) was a greater inconvenience than the death of half a million Americans.
Honestly, I suspect that the CDC's advice hinges on the assumption that enough Americans are going to take the vaccine that we reach herd immunity. And I don't think that's going to happen.
