The exception proves the rule. The fact that he has to mention that his servitude was easily endured implies that typically servitude is something that is hard to endure.
No it doesen't Eliezer was the servant of Abraham, yet at the same time since Abraham had no children he was also Abraham's heir. Also when Abrahams nephew was kidnapped by an army, Abraham and his SERVANTS took up arms to go rescue him, why would all these ARMED servants risk their lives for someone that's mistreating them, and not just free themselves instead?
