How do you suppose this makes any difference? If one side is fanning the flames, the other side is opposing them and therein lies the division.
That is like arguing flat earthers have a right to insist everyone be taught the earth is flat.
At this point in history, the left gets facts right thousands of times more than the right does.
The right insists that climate change is a hoax. The right claims the election was stolen. Those two things alone are a threat to facts.
It does make a difference. There was a time in American history where women couldn't vote and blacks had to sit at the back of the bus. Only one party today is attempting to turn back the clock on progress.
