A number will remain unconvinced by and unbelieving in the written Word, and by corroborating evidence, until their end or the end of the age.
The words of the Lord JESUS, the CHRIST:
"And whoever will not receive you nor hear you, when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony against them. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!” - Mark 6:11
The Holy Bible identifies Sodom and Gomorrah and its previously surrounding cities as "examples" to the rest of the world!
"And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire." - Jude 1:6-7 (2 Peter 2:6).
What do you mean? That other cities have had a comet explode over them?
Yes, I understand that there is the Sodom and Gomorah story in the pages of the Bible. But how do you tell the difference between a natural disaster and one that is caused by gods and aliens?
For example, if the gods and aliens start a major forest fire or maybe a lightning starts up a major forest fire, how can people 1000 y in the future tell what started that forest fire?
I suppose if I was living 1000 y in the future, I could take a look at the VHS cassette tapes. Maybe a bunch of news channels talk about the forest fire but none of them mention that it was caused by gods and aliens.
What if I look at the cassettes made by christian priests. Perhaps a person like Pat Robertson and Robert Tilton would say that the jewish god started the forest fire.
So, who should I believe? The news agencies or the priests?
Let’s say that the Bible is a religious news report written by jewish priests. Where are the other books? The books written by stone age CNN, the one written by stoneage BBC?
It looks like no such agencies existed back then.
It’s normal. There was no global communication channel, no planes, no cars, no cameras, and no news agency companies. Good, reliable information, coming from multiple sources, from before 1900 is hard to find.
Before the telegraph, wireless telegraph, cars, planes were invented. It was a major hassle to transmit data.
Mark 6:11 and Jude 1:6 seems to be using fear.
I prefer to have an intelligent conversation rather than being motivated by threats of violence.
I recommend that you stop living in fear.
