OF course, it's perfectly reasonable to reject a bunch of things because of irrationality. Sadly, such reasons are often lacking in human behaviour. Human beings are not so much ration-al beings as rational-ising beings. You and I excepted of course.

As far as I'm aware that as a general principle, any decision made where there is a conflict between emotion and reason, emotion almost always wins. People are always capable of coming up with rational decisions for behaviour after the fact. Once again, you and I excepted.
