Two people heard me state in 1964 words to the effect of "You know, stories of hell would be a good way for governments to scare people into behaving." One of the witnesses was the older brother of the boy next door, and he was amazed that I could make an observation like this at my age.
By this time I had already been reading for five years (started at age 2 1/2), had read the Bible, and knew all the major story arcs.
