Why own a gun?
I’ve always been pro gun. But up until 2018 I didn’t own any. (Having sold my last one in late 2013.)
I live in a city/state with an alarmingly high rate of human trafficking. I have a cute (I believe) three year old daughter. I’m not going to get in a tug of war over my kid with nothing but a pocket knife and a can do attitude. (Actually happened with a woman and her stroller less than a mile from our old house.)
I have passed a total of 3 background checks, all of the Nebraska training requirements, paid the egregious fees, and now routinely carry a pistol concealed. Done effectively no one is ever the wiser.
We have a fireproof, 200+ pound (empty weight) safe that is bolted to the floor. Our daughter and anybody who breaks in will never have access.

I reject your reality and substitute my own!
