The question is not whether the god of Dante makes sense but rather whether he is good.
Didn't have much to add about that, seemed like a more or less accurate overview of classical theology to me? Bit of a tautology. Is the god defined as the good, good? Sure, why not. The trouble with respect to classical theology and christianity, imo is that it was a patch up job. The narratives and doctrine do not map to the philosophical position - though many have been convinced they do (and we'd never run out of examples of some horrid thing they were sure was gods good work at whatever time, dante being a good example himself).
They tried their best. This was it.
