There should only be around 10,000 people living on this planet. The quality of life for those 10,000 people would be astronomically higher than anyone's present quality of life.......

The QOL of a mere 10k humans would be utter dogshit compared to our own. That's not enough people, even 1 for 1, to satisfy all that people do..that benefits people. Just one hundred years ago, it took right around 100 people to do just what I do. It takes me, today, more work to satisfy the 41st customer than it did to satisfy the first 40. Takes even more yet...to satisfy the 42nd. So on and so forth. Ad infinitum. Et cetera......et cetera....et cetera.

I push it to two hundred, but that's the distribution of a relative loss leader-as-business-model with 7 employees. Theoretically capable of producing at 700-1 rates, but only economically capable of 40-1. Which is to say that the seven of us could probably grow enough food for 700 hundred of us, but the vast majority of that 700 could not (or would not) pay, if that food had an attached monetary value.
