Or maybe politicians should concentrate on more pressing and serious issues than hunting aliens.

Hey, you know how it is with atheists, they always pick the wrong Christians, Muslims, psychics, priests, ufologists, astrologers, creationists, theologians, etc. to talk about.

Ah, yes, the Galileo fallacy.

Not that long actually, when you take into account that they would simply be drones, so hundreds of thousands or even millions of years doesn't really matter in that context
And after all these billions of years of conquering the universe, the U.S. government just shushes them and hides all the evidence of them.

And if there was actual evidence for aliens the scientists would be all over them and there would be a branch of science devoted to researching aliens, but guess what is missing.

The government is studying UAP and USOs. I said I think it's probably not aliens, but that is not something to be ruled out right off the bat like you and the debunkers do, treating the prospect of aliens or more likely unmanned alien drones as the same thing as gods.
I'd say protecting service members is a good use of politicians time, unless you think these service members deserve to be shut up or fired for sharing their experiences or because you think they're crackpots or something and therefore no longer qualified for the job.
That's your reasoning for thinking that something doesn't exist? Because you reckon that the government wouldn't hide something? Are you for real? The government hides plenty of things. All governments do. If you were in charge of the government, you'd go and just release all of the secrets? Really? I don't quite see what point you were making here, but it sounds like you're just throwing shit at the wall.
