If they did that, it would just prove that SCOTUS, as dominated by far right conservatives, is just a political institution, a second legislature, as opposed to a true judiciary. No way, no how, could SCOTUS ever elevate Oklahoma law above federal law with respect to an individual's civil rights.
They elevated the opinions of a dead british witchfinder to do the same......I'm not sure why anyone thinks something still needs proving, or that there's no way the clerics on the courts could do...really..whatever the fuck they wanted.
