As young as 10 I can remember being forced to say prayers and sing hymns in school and even at that age thinking it was all a load of nonsense.

Lack of evidence? In what? The whole Western World is built on Christianity. Maybe you just don't have the intellectual capacity to read the Gospels and understand them. Maybe for you it's just all about being forced to pray at age 10. So, I'm sorry, who didn't grow up?

Many people would rather just believe in god rather than try to discover any evidence for one. The fear of there being no father figure in the sky that micromanages their lives for the best possible outcome is too hard for some to face.
You know, as a Christian, I have spent my entire life trying to figure out what my purpose was, what I was created to do. It's been a source of great existential angst. At 47, I think I might have it figured out--I think. But an atheist just gets to give all that pressure up. They never have to live up to any purpose, because in a cold chaotic universe, there is no purpose.

But I just can't relate to that.
I never could believe in it, even when I tried to when I was a kid.
It all just seems ridiculous to me even as a child.
I can't force myself to believe something because I want to.
Then your sensory mind is stronger than your will. You believe only as you are stimulated to believe. Not very impressive really. Faith is actually a higher form of mental functioning.
Oh EEEEE gor
You are just soo ignorant...Or are you faking it? What education have you missed out on?
It all?
You are currently experiencing a lucky and very brief window of awareness, sandwiched in between two periods of timeless and utter nothingness. So why not make the most of it, and stop wasting your life away trying to convince other people that there is something else? The reality is obvious.
