Point - straight men don't become homosexual.  They may engage in same sex activities but that doesn't mean they change teams.

Homosexuality itself is a "kink" not an actual orientation. It's more like a "fetish".
To make that kink grow in a man; locking him up for long periods is one way to make that kink grow.
