Thanks, Lek. This doesn't sound like the version of God who floods the earth, fathers a son, and issues final trumps. Is there any difference between the God you believe in and the God of pantheism (a doctrine which identifies God with the universe, or regards the universe as a manifestation of God)?
I know this is an old post, but i have a problem with that definition, like most definitions of god it only covers one answer to one aspect of god, while at the same time introducing other problems.
Firstly we are designed (it is said) to have free will, what parts of a body have free will ? Wouldn't us being part of a body mean the head (Christ) was sinning ?
Second God wants a intellectual relationship with us, so we can reason with him (Isaiah 1:18) and numerous other passages where god talks to people. I really don't understand Christians when they say effectively that their god wants a close, intimate loving relationship with them, while saying at the same time we cannot understand his mind or ways.. Wouldn't a god if he wanted company and companionship create creatures who did understand him and could talk on his level ? It's like me having unlimited power to be able to create a creature to have a loving relationship with, creating a gnat, then punish it for it's misunderstanding ways !
Thirdly, How does a finger 'know' the presence of the brain that controls it ?
We kinda understand what you are trying to say, but it's a very strained analogy.
