I'm embarrassed to say I don't what a Chromecast is, but looking it up relating to wowpresentsplus, I'm getting a lot of ambiguous results; some talk about it as Chromecasting from an android app, which if that's the case looks like it wouldn't work just on account of the crappy apps it has, and other things say that wowpresentsplus no longer supports Chromecasting (as well as other things I read before saying it has no support for smart TVs in case that's relevant). So is what you're saying from personal experience using this service, or just a general suggestion? I was just hoping I could at the very least just use the website because my laptop is already connected to my TV by hdmi cable for playing games, so from that POV I wouldn't need anything special to watch it on my TV.
It's a device that hooks to your TV, and various things can cast video to it which will display from it through your TV's input. For example, I pull up pirate streams of baseball games in my Chrome browser, the Chrome browser supports casting natively, so I just select cast, select the Chromecast device in question, and what is playing in the Chrome browser tab displays on the TV that is attached to the Chromecast. You could do the same with your show. Play it in the Chrome browser, but cast the Chrome browser tab to your TV via the Chromecast device. It basically mirrors whatever is in the Chrome browser tab, or your entire desktop; something similar can be done with phones -- mirroring the screen of the phone to the TV.
But if your laptop is directly connected, it would be redundant.
Right, cool, thanks for the run down
