Yeah, it was... and it still is in some areas... just much less in the realm of fashion for me... I didn't mean to imply I thought I was immune to it, I'm certainly not, it's just good when it sticks it's head a bit too far above the parapet, and becomes obvious. Another example is Pepsi. For as long as I can remember, it's been trying to associate itself with football in the UK, but I couldn't give a toss about football, but just love(d) Pepsi in it's own right, so this was a case of that overkill marketing washing over my head in a different way... in the sense of 'you had me at the great taste... you don't need to bother with all this other crap'
