All formal Christians around the world (who follows the teachings of the men in charge of their Churches) are supposed to believe that a perfect union of two beings (that lets them be seen as one being having One Will towards any outsider) is a Heavenly Secret (beyond human's reasoning) when Jesus says: I and 'THE' Father are one (let us notice, as a side note, that he didn't say, I and MY Father are one, but this has its own story

As you said, many of those who are supposed not to believe whatever could be related to whom the world knows as Jesus, see this union being possible in reality. In other words, some atheists are closer to Jesus in this... than all formal Christians around the world are
