Your statement is not about objective reality, but a subjective opinion, hence the "I"s in both.
Just as yours is an opinion too. In your opinion, a god is there, and its a FACT that you made this claim (that you believe this).
No. Bad analysis. "I" is the subject (not a "subjective" concept) in the sentence.
I is not subjective, unless you're a Solipsist. Whether it is an opinion or not is irrelevant.
The discussion is about what each of them hold in their consciousness concerning the concept of the gods.
The dismissal of the concept as having no value for even consideration, and the positive claim that not only is the concept considered, but affirmed, is vastly different, by orders of magnitude.
