Technically I'd say he's making it more ignorant than it was. It's a pretty good human coming of age story. It's held up and been culturally familiar and relevant pretty much since it was first cobbled down.
Guy and girl are innocent kids in their fathers garden till some dragon makes them understand their own nakedness and next thing you know, bam, kicked out of daddies house....eves pregnant , adam has a shitty job, and their kids just won't stop bickering. Thus things would be forever and ever amen.
