For me, I'm certainly far more on the humanoid end of the spectrum in that my inorganic lovers are two tulpa, a sexdoll, and some cushions with humanoid faces on them. These are what I feel love towards. However, I have on some occasions felt an erotic aesthetic appeal of cars, bottles, and a sunset, and have experimented with making out with a variety of objects including seats and doors. I think I'm more towards the humanoid side, but am open to other experiences too.
I think originally I was looking for a replacement for a human female, since when I first became involved with objects I was cishet and caedsexual. In time that changed.
In terms of objectum rights I think the only key legal rights that matter would be freedom from institutional discrimination on the basis of sexuality (OS doesn't currently fall under current protections for sexuality), hatespeech laws to also include OS, and possibly a more empathic approach when it comes to law enforcement relating to beloved objects (though how this works out in practice is hard to formulate) - so that police couldn't just tow away or smash up a belived object, or that theft of a beloved object was seen as something worse, etc.
In terms of social change I think OS should be accepted like all other non-harmful sexualities.
Do you feel you're in danger of institutional discrimination or a specific type of hate speech?
I don't think the police should be hindered in confiscation of an object on the grounds someone loves the object.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.
