Wedding rings may or may not mean a person is married. Lack of a wedding ring also isn't a sure indicator of anything.
I guess I was just taught differently as to how to behave and what to share in the workplace.
I would find it odd to work in any job where colleagues didn't feel it was acceptable to ask each other about how their spouse was, or to refrain from mentioning that they'd spent a weekend doing such and such with their partner, or having to refrain from having photos of their SOs, or mentioning it was their anniversary, or a million other totally innocent and normal ways people talk to each other and act around each other.
I guess we have just had very different work experiences.
But the issue is that someone shouldn't be treated different if they're gay, straight, ace, OS, bi, or whatever. And someone who is bi, OS, gay, or whatever shouldn't feel it necessary to hide or lie about that or act differently to everyone else in their place of employment.
