Still, that doesn't make me a moderate. I'm not. I'm a free market extremist, an american exceptionalism extremist. A climate extremist. It's shortsighted that that last thing means I'm cast out and supporting the other guys. Self inflicted wounds. OFC, before this current political moment, it was shortsighted that my being a 2a extremist meant that I was cast out of the blue and supporting the pre-treason reds.

I can relate to this. I'm not enrolled in a political party but I live in a state that will always go for the democrat in presidential elections, and all of my state's electors go to the democrat.
Over the past several election cycles I've been voting to oppose the MAGA crazies trying to worm their way onto the local school committee and library board. Negative voting leaves a bad taste.
