Explainer: Our “President” and his circle have enormous problems with definitions. They may use very strong words against their political opponents such as “terrorists” or “fools”. Those who oppose their views in an open manner can be called stuff like “bitches” or “Haggards” etc. Their knowledge of the Turkish language is also very limited (most of them are highly undereducated) so they can issue statements like “The purification of the Turkish language by the founders of the Republic* has destroyed our language tools” (no one was able to decipher the meaning of that statement until today).
 
So his definition of Mujahedeen is probably something close to that. But still, that makes too many Muslims on a single planet don’t you agree?

* In the 1930’s, our founders have created what we call the Turkish Language Institute. Their works included the translation of many literary works into Turkish + the elimination of unnecessary Persian + Arabic words from our language. Of course Political Islamists hated them for this mainly because they don’t like anything that’s new at all in general
