This mfer pushed me to atheism. He ran a catholic retreat center in the Diocese of Worcester where my CCD class had to go for a retreat. They kept us up all hours, took away our watches (no cell phones in 1988), and subjected us to emotional stories, music, and sleep deprivation. Then the hugging and touching started. After the retreat there was a group of "peer leaders" who tried to get me to return to the center for follow up ministry. Ole brother Antonio was there with lots of hugs and touches. Freaked me out. One close call was enough for me. Never went back to church after that.
