Lol, of course it’s not obvious. It’s impossible to determine if we have free will or live in a deterministic universe. Consider:
You ‘decide’ to have something particular for breakfast. How could you possibly know whether it’s a free choice or an outcome that has been pre-determined since the universe began?
In fact, it’s perfectly plausible that the widespread belief in free will is deterministic. How could you tell the difference?
